Let's get down to the nitty-gritty
M.A.C.M sponsors Industry Credit Groups to facilitate the
exchange of credit information for members within the same
industry. These groups provide Credit professionals selling to
common customers the opportunity to participate in our regularly
scheduled round-table discussions and receive requested credit
reports on specific accounts.
For the cost of one credit report, Industry Credit Group members
submit a minimum of five customer accounts for evaluation each
month. These accounts are complied into a master worksheet,
which is distributed to your Credit Group's members for input on
the status of current accounts receivable. The results are
summarised in a monthly packet. There are economies-of-scale in
shared resources. Cheques marked referred to drawer are
submitted daily to the secretariat who compile periodic lists
and inform the members' representatives to promote a fair
trading environment.
