Manager - Credit Control

  • A formal qualification relating to Credit Control or, alternatively, a relevant qualification in Management;
  • Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in Management;
  • A valid driving license
  • A strong personality to handle challenging and delicate situations involving defaulting clients;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Ability to work within a team;
  • Willing to learn and work under minimal supervision.If this describes you, then this is a glimpse of what you'll be required to do:
  • Assist the Senior Manager to develop and ensure implementation of credit control policies, including control mechanisms, billing and collections policies and debt write off and provision policies, throughout the GO group;
  • Participate in the development of the necessary infrastructure to ensure that the Group has an effective Credit Control section;
  • Manage the Group’s Credit Control functions;
  • Manage the collection of debtors including those against which the company has made a provision, and ensure that debtors are kept at a minimum;
  • Liaise with the Commercial department through regular meetings;
  • Liaise with lawyers and, whenever required, participate in the company’s representation in local courts;
  • Liaise with cash collection agencies as and when necessary;• Participate in on-call duties, as and when necessary;
  • Other responsibilities and duties that may become necessary to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the credit control sections.
